Saudi oriental style gowns
I’m sorry guys, I have not been in the mood lately when it comes to writing and posting. I promise I’ll be better replying to your comments and posting better entries… It’s just much happening right now. I will try to be a little bit more social this weekend, insha’a Allah.
Enjoy some Saudi designed oriental gowns or galabiyas:

I love the dark red/maroon one.
Which one do you like, if any?

The white and black one is a cute take on the keffiyah.

I like the maroon one too, as well as the black one with the white piecework on the front. I have been dreaming of sewing my own jalabiya type clothing lately, I love the Saudi stuff (see here: http://www.lamsa-arabia.com/eng/dresses/trad/ – yes, basbousa, there’s tons of stuff there worth putting here in this blog, hint hint), but it just seemed too difficult to figure out how to do it… The black one is not even that difficult.

I like the white and grey outfit. I like how simple it is but she still looks very pretty. the other i like is the light blue one although I do not think i’d be able to wear the long sleeves without feeling odd.

I love the first one. And the light blue abaya would be perfect for a wedding. Actually they’re all nice, thanks for sharing.

I absolutely love the black and red tribal-looking abaya! The lines are strong, the whole look is strong, and very modest. To my mind, it’s an example of showing a lot of style and power without showing curves. But I don’t like the headgear, or the 3/4 length sleeves. Having her arms out like that looks very out of context, contradicts the ensemble totally.
