A little bit more about those gorgeous galabiyas…

So I found the designer of the previously posted luxurious galabiyas (I think). Rania Al-Bastaki is a designer based in the UAE, that specializes in galabiya designs. You can read more about her gorgeous traditional designs here.

How I love her designs… Haha, not the peek-a-boo hole on the beige galabiya though. What do you think?

  2. Wow!! I’m loving these jalibayas! Except for the uh window on the chest of that golden colored one hahahahahaha!!!! That’s just too funny!

I didn’t even notice the bizarre “window” (yikes) until Coffee’s comment – I was distracted by the red license plate frame on the woman’s face! The garments, save for the one where she ran out of fabric, are beautiful.

I love the traditional birqa mask. It is SOOOOO comfy and so much lighter than niqab. Definately not part of my Western world garment but I think I will wear them in the Gulf when I go—-: D

Oh my, what’s with the boob-peaker? I really like the other outfits though, especially the one next to the peakaboo outfit.

Yep, that’s Rania’s stuff! Although that beige one I’ve seen with the hole filled in with fabric lol.
