Now green is one of my top favorite colors, so I just had to love the green one. But all these dresses/hijabs are gorgeous. Do you like this style? Which one is your favorite?

These are gorgeous!- I got married in red! In Yemen its various days of festivities- not just one day so for every day you put on a different color- The white, the green, the red and so on—and the festivities are all day long! I have great memories; especially since I was in such a remote section of Yemen at the time…

Thanks for these, they remind of those days long gone…;)

  12. So inlove of these outfits!

  13. hal786 says:

my relatives usually wear red lenghas, but theyr always short sleeved! cud u find one thats long sleeved?

  14. INAL says:

hal786, I have a suggestion…actually a tailor in NY did this for me…they took from the scarf that is well embellished and took enough off to make long sleeves that they lined in the same color of the lenghas bodice and replaced the short sleeves with them…They did the edge of the scarf and no one the wiser!

Also you can ask tailors when they are going to make the cholies from the extra piece of the pallu, to make you long sleeves and high backs instead of the traditional revealing back. The might raise an eyebrow or two, because cholis are not traditionally long sleeves…buth they won’t say can’t be done.

Some stores that also cater to Punjabi women have long sleeve outfits that might appeal to you.
