Back to Basics: Review of Zeena

If you’re looking for modest tunic tops, look no further. Zeena has a wide variety of them as well as other hijabi clothing necessities, ranging from the very basic sports kind to more elaborate business casual ones. I was recently sent two of their tops in fresh colors to review, so here it goes… Since both tops are quite basic, they’re great for layering, and the following pictures show how I would incorporate them into whole outfits. Your creativity is the limit.

The good thing about both tops are their length and modest fit. Reaching just above the knee in size M, they provide great coverage without looking frumpy or bulky. Thus, they’re fine layered over pants as seen below, or tucked into skirts, as seen above. Both also have pockets, making them excellent choices for hijabis seeking convenience. I suppose the light and breathing material of the yellow one would even be good for working out, and thus the pockets should come in extra handy. The material of the purple/indigo top has a slight sheen to it, but is comfortable and stretchy as well. Since I am not so much a fan of the drawstring waist of the latter, the former is my personal favorite of the two, and an even better basic layering piece in my opinion, due to the minimal distractions in its cut.

All in all, as said in the beginning, if you are looking for great everyday or layering pieces to add to your wardrobe, Zeena is definitely the place to go. You can check out their Facebook page here and store here. How would you wear these tops?
